A Dedication

Reverend Richard Charles Alton III, Rector of Saint Clement Church-Philadelphia from 2014-2024

Whenever I see images or videos of a Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic camera, I remember Christmas morning of 1968. My brother received a Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic camera (I received a Kodak Instamatic 314 camera, which thrilled me.). He put his new camera to work from the start. I remember the portraits he took of our relatives using no flash and Kodak Tri-X black and white film. He was a favored photographer at his high school. He would not get another 35mm camera after the Spotmatic.

No new website is without some form of a dedication. My brother, who died on 1 November 2024, was deeply supportive of my photographic avocation during his later years. He enjoyed seeing my images of various sites, most notably those located in our native New England. Despite his health challenges, we had planned to visit New England to continue work on our family genealogy. I had already photographed various sites in New England including a house owned by a sibling of one of our ancestors (the Daniel Benton House in Tolland, Connecticut). But, now that he is gone, I plan to continue with my photography genealogical research in New England. I hope to share a few of my future photos in an updated portfolio.

I hereby dedicate my new website to my brother, Richard.
